Teacher gifts ~ Pencil Flowers

A little while ago while wandering through Pinterest I found Petal Pens (a crochet project)

Well, the end of the school year is fast approaching so I starting making them. I bought thicker yarn than the pattern calls for, used a smaller hook than the yarn suggests, made some minor (stitch count) alterations to the original pattern and voila!   {Tip: I found having a pen or pencil inserted made doing the stems much easier. }
