It’s been a while and it will be a bit yet before I can catch up with you. I miss sharing with you but most of all I miss hearing about your creations! I have been sharing random yarn art projects to my Facebook page. Please feel free to join me there. Collecting project ideas is almost as much fun as visiting the yarn aisle 🙂
Looking forward to sharing my #wips here and hearing about your projects!!
My sister needed paper and stuff for her scrapbooking. She was on her way to the craft stores and asked me to come “to keep her company”. I’m sure she knew that we’d only be chatting in the car because … well, there’s YARN in those stores.
I did limit myself to the yarn that was on sale and only purchased for one project. The yarn I was strong enough to put back was for a Mystery Crochet-a-long and as it turns out…wasn’t on sale. I wasn’t spending $45 USD on a project that I didn’t even know if I wanted the end product.
Now I have yarn for two cardigans and two amigurumi. The ragdoll bunny is working up quickly so I think I’ll take some time to work a swatch to check gauge for the two cardigans. You know…just to make sure I have the right hook and yarn. 😉
I know I promised I wouldn’t work on new projects until my Sidewalk Shawl was finished. And it is. Kind of. I just have to weave the ends and make the tassels. I put that aside because when I tried it on I couldn’t figure out how they got it to look like that in the photo. It’s ok. I’m going to buy a dress specifically to go with the soft grey to wear for my nephew’s graduation. So I have to add the tassels 🙂
Oh well, such is a yarn artists life 🙂 What #WIPs do you have?
In honour of Black Friday (the shopping day after American Thanksgiving), I thought I’d share some yarn humour.
Grrrrrr….. Crochet is with ONE HOOK, not two needles!
Perhaps the stress of many crochet projects is getting to me? Naw… this is a long time pet peeve.
